size?
looks rather small to me.

It sure is something in Paederinae subfamily, Lathrobium, or genus close to it. If size is more than 8mm, Lathrobium is pretty safe.

Measured him
He is 5 mm. I have now vowed to put sizes on all the bugs I post here. I found him under a concrete block. Thanks for taking a look!

move it to subfamily then. Perhaps later someone will be able to decide which species it is.
