Datana Species Parasitoid? - Holoplagia guamensis

Datana Species Parasitoid? - Holoplagia guamensis
Karnack, Harrison County, Texas, USA
October 24, 2014
Size: <2mm
Around a third of the pupated Datana species groups I reared this season have had what I presume are parasitoids emerge. The majority of the villains look like the attached. This particular individual came from a group that was found as early instar larvae (rather than eggs) but that is the exception overall so I am wondering if the parasitoids arrived as eggs on host plant leaves. As such any insight in to the life history of this fellow would be appreciated.

Fascinating
I had one fly out of a container with a very much alive leaf litter moth larva in it today so obviously I falsely accuse them of being parasitoids. The only constant between the containers is the pupation medium - store bought top soil. If so then quite a journey they have been on.
