Did you not notice the photomicrographs of the genitalia? How do you think entomologists identify worn specimens out of sticky traps?

...to where you think these images belong. I frassed them because (1) the specimen was worn and (2) because most entomologists (or layperson) do not come to BugGuide looking for images of genitalia, making the liklihood of having this individual both identified and useful slim to none. If you badly need this moth to be identified, I would encourage you to send it to your local lepidopterist. Most of us here at BugGuide simply don't have the time, materials, keys, or knowledge to identify a worn specimen using slides of its genitalia. If you still feel like it's worth keeping, please move them back. I won't stop you, but I think it's extrememly unlikely that you get an ID.

Kyhl-

I appreciate your desire to clean up images on BugGuide, however I will place this one back to where it belongs. The added value of genitalia with this specimen make it work keeping. And while the average user of BugGuide is a layperson the more information that is added here the better for everyone. Just because you can't identify it or don't have the time doesn't mean you should frass the image.
