Found on fallen black oak leaf under the tree.

Yes, there is a semipermanent puddle under that black oak tree while rainy days. And Helophilus is pretty common in my yard :)

Hehe...
The whole mass was 12 mm? Such tiny little egg-like things. :) I could be wrong, but they kind of look like Parasitic Wasp cocoons.
