Looks like something in the O
Looks like something in the Ocyptamus cylindricus species group (Syrphidae) to me, actually. (species group as there's some work remaining to be done to reclassify those guys)

Thank you! I would like to see it again and get better photos. I am surprised to see only 3 reported on the map for Texas.
