Rhyopsocus eclipticus Hagen 1876 - Rhyopsocus eclipticus - Male
Palmetto State Park, Gonzales County, Texas, USA
October 30, 2014
Size: 1.4 mm
This lovely creature was found in abundance on a very large fallen oak limb with dead persistent leaves. Never saw it before. My ID was based on distinctive traits of the hypandium and clunium as well as wing venation.
