Size: ~2mm
According to the MND, this "large spur" on the metatibia is distinctive for this species. Other species of Opalimosina are identified in the key by an extra bristle between the intralar and posterior dorsocentral.

The 5th sternite of the male also seems to have a fairly distinctive shape.

Out of date
The generic classification in MND is out of date. There is now only one species of Opalimosina in the New World. It is originally an Old World genus but O. mirabilis is synanthropic.

Edit: I was wrong (the paper I was reading was wrong). There is a second species, but it is in a different subgenus without the remarkable spur.
