Identification
Long, spur originating near the middle of the underside of the hind tibia (not apical as in some Sphaerocerinae).
Range
Nearly cosmopolitan. Introduced in New World.
Habitat
"It is a polysaprophagous species, predominantly on dung, less frequently on compost."(1)
