Size: ~ 12 mm
Taking nectar in Rhus trilobata.
ID per key to species in Hall (1969; see reference on Information page).
ID also confirmed by Dr. Evenhuis (Bishop Museum, Honolulu, HI).

These are very, very nice.
How come you're having all the fun? I'm seeing only tiny stuff. Wanna trade for some whiteflies? Mating beetles? Sweat bees and a future draft choice?
