Tiny Mystery - Sparasion

Tiny Mystery - Sparasion
Colbert, Spokane County, Washington, USA
July 19, 2014
Very tiny bee found in the vegetable garden. It appears to have a cerceris type structure on the face. I can't be sure because of the fuzzy nature of the image but on my screen the antennae appear to originate below the structure. Sorry for the poor quality but I am hoping you can work magic. Thanks for all your help!

Tribe Level?
Jeanne, this bee resembles several bees in the tribe Osmiini. I'm not an expert and I don't know much about that tribe yet, sorry. I believe that area around the base of the antennae is a little too blurred in your images, to see exactly where they connect to the head. Have a look at this example shot: (this may be a closely related genera)

Good Luck!

Thanks Ken! I'm afraid that this is so tiny that I just couldn't get enough clarity and detail on it. Feel free to frass if need be.

It may simply have been overlooked.
At any rate, it looks interesting, so let's see what the experts have to say. If they say "Can't tell," then we can frass. :)
