Skidaway Island, Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, USA
November 6, 2014
I was photographing pollinators on Swamp Sunflower (Helianthus angustifolius) and noted what appeared as two different Toxomerus species, both photographed. Once edited I viewed the Syrphidae family and believe, from BugGuide study, this species is possibly "Toxomerus geminates".

I followed up with 2nd submission which may be "Toxomerus marginatus", a species I am familiar with.(see photos 1017750 and 1017749)ID please-Thank you.

There are currently many Syrphid flies about the island. We plant nectar sources that attract this very sort after biological pest control that attacks the aphids on our Milkweed plants. ID please?
