I found this bug in my entry foyer and thinking it was a spider due to the fact that it was dark and 10:30 p.m. at night, I stepped on it. When I realized it was not a spider I put it in a container and brought it to work in hopes that one of our science teachers could tell me what it was. She said she was not much of an entomologist and gave me your web address. I think it is of the mantid family, but not sure. I have three pets at home, and want to make sure if I have more of these bugs around the house, that they are harmless.
