separating citra and picta
Bob (or anyone reading), can you recommend a way to separate A. citra and A. picta? The MPG plate would sort of suggest that A. citra has more of a gray-on-yellow coloration than the gray-on-white of A. picta, but Dave Wikle's pic there would seem to contradict that. Spaces between the spots also look inconsistent to me. If someone could provide a reference for the paper that separated out A. citra from A. picta that might also help.

A. citra and picta differences
I don't know how accurate it is but I found that Ottolengui 1896 provides some detailed description of differences, however to add some confusion it appears that A. maia is considered a subspecies of A. picta as per Schmidt and Opler 2008(1).
