Two different moth?
Photo #1022324 was taken on 2/25/2014 and #1022323 was taken on 3/2/2014. I think these are different moths and should be unlinked.

A. H. The 642730 post is probably from Flamingo Florida area on 3-1-12. I took it with my old camera. Photos were not as good. The label says 12-31-1969 on this pic. That is wrong it was photographed on 2-25-14. It was on a bed sheet and the gaps can be seen between threads. Looked at sheet and figured the closed moth pic is about 3/8" across.

I am stumped.
Among the Geometridae, this beast looks most similar to Macaria, with wing shape and gross color pattern being the most obvious similarities. However, I've been through the entire set of MPG Geometrid plates and cannot find anything closer than Macaria, which this thing ain't.
