Dorsal abdominal pattern pret
Dorsal abdominal pattern pretty distinctive on this species. It is a female Rainpool Spreadwing (Lestes forficula), a fairly common species in deep south Texas which wanders up as far as Austin on occasion. Nice shot of this south Texas critter.

Spreadwing
Lestes sp., a female so very difficult to i.d. further.
