Weevil species - Peltophorus polymitus

Size: 8mm
Found several of these hiding in the inside base of the tall agave plants. Had to use my 12 inch Bioquip forceps to catch these weevils as they were well protected by the thorny leaves of the agave. They look like they mimic bird droppings

That's what they look like when they are alive. Thanks for the ID! So Pied is that the name? Should be more like Caked, as it was caked tight hiding in the agave, haha.
