southern Adirondack Mts., Saratoga County, New York, USA July 5, 2013 Size: body length abt 1/2 inch
Found this individual while photographing the Viper’s Bugloss (Echium vulgare) it is apparently feeding from. It’s the only photo of it I have, and I haven’t seen a similar specimen since. My searches of book/internet photos haven’t turned up anything like it. Please help by identifying it as far down the taxonomic “tree” as you can with this limited information. Sorry for the scant data.
