Not 100% sure about this - Microdon was also a possibility, but the antennae are far more consistent with Pyritis and I'm not 100% sure I even see the wing vein spur in Microdon in these photos.

Thanks so much. This is a new species for us. I blew up one of the head shots and the antennae definitely match Pyritis on the key to Nearctic syrphids.
