Orange-Striped Oakworm - Anisota senatoria

Orange-Striped Oakworm - Anisota senatoria
Fort Bragg, North Carolina, USA
September 1, 2004
Looks just like Anisota senatoria, but I don't know what else looks like this. See this site.

Moved to A. senatoria (species group)
I'm trying to clean up this group. This may be A. peigleri, but the taxonomy is very confusing. The caterpillars of the Anisota senatoria group (includes peigleri and finlaysoni as well) are distinctive, so it makes sense to put them together.

See the guide page for details.
