Louse - Ectopsocus vachoni Elk Grove, Sacramento County, California, USA December 11, 2014 Size: ~1mm
This little one showed up in one of my feeder cockroach bins soon after I added a layer of natural substrate (japanese maple leaves, bark, and dirt) to the enclosure, so I'm assuming it hitched a ride in the substrate. Is this a nymph? If it is a nymph and can only be ID'd as an adult, I will keep it in a cup until it reaches adulthood then photograph it again.
