Male
The ventral spine is a feature of the males only.

The females don't have one, but they do have a stinger: ♀
I'm not sure if the mites care about the gender.

That's true, but I'm not sure if this feature is specific to only this species or for the entire genus. Where to put the info...?
Someone smarter than me may be able to look it up and say, for sure. Otherwise, we should keep counting the antennae and abdominal segments, watching the hunting or nest-building and enjoying the mating postures, haha.
