Parasitic Wasp - Sycophila

Parasitic Wasp - Sycophila
Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserve, Solano County, California, USA
December 5, 2014
Size: 4 mm
This was found alive in a ziplock bag containing a single Disholcaspis corallina gall I collected on Quercus douglasii (Blue Oak) from Stebbins Cold Canyon Reserve, the date reflects when I noticed the wasp, I'm not sure how long before it emerged from the gall. I presume this is not the gall maker, but I'm not really sure what kind of wasp this is otherwise. The specimen is available.

Sycophila…
These wasps frequently emerge from cynipid galls.

See reference here.

Thanks.
That looks good.
