Red-banded Hairstreak - Calycopis cecrops

On cultivated Frostweed, Verbesina virginica. There are plenty of pictures of this hairstreak in the guide, but I like this photo because it shows the stamens being forced over onto the butterfly's forehead. If you look closely, you can see white grains of pollen on the butterfly's eye.
