This katydid was in the deciduous forests and bogs of Northeast New York.

Moved from Grasshoppers, Crickets, Katydids.

Judging by what I can see of the supra-anal plate in the second picture (from above), this is either S. pistillata or S. curvicauda. Do you have a close-up of that?
