Moth - Feltia subterranea

Moth - Feltia subterranea
Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, Florida, USA
December 19, 2014
I've never noticed a moth with "staples" in the wings before. They look structural. Anyone know what they are, or how to describe them in more accurate terms? A bonus would be to ID the moth, of course.

Feltia subterranea
Moved from ID Request.

If you are talking about the dark stripes in the outer portion of the wing those are veins. Highlighted in some species.

Thanks for the ID, Maury!
By "staples" I meant (now that you've ID'ed it for me and i've had a chance to look up the description in Beadle), the reniform and orbicular spots, joined by a black bar on this species. The bar looks like an actual structural "divot," and the spots look like actual built-up "bows" rather than just color patterns. Way more 3D than I'd expected.
