Helochara communis

Helochara communis
Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno, Quebec, Canada
April 11, 2007
Seen near a still frozen pond today, a lot of those on dead leaves: smaller green-black and bigger bright green Helochara. Up is a male with characteristic antennae enlarged toward apex. Both pictures are taken at the same scale. Male: 4.6 mm, female: 5.1mm.
