Explanation of Names
Gymnochiromyia Hendel 1933
Identification
3 fronto-orbital bristles, the anterior pair curved inward. Scutellum bare except for the four typical large scutellars.(1) Occuput flat or slightly concave, frons narrower anteriorly; discal cell does not extend beyond middle of wing; femora not swollen (Ebejer 2009).
