July 6, 2014: collected Western Ragweed, Ambrosia psilostachya, with herbivory
Took photos of 1 stem boring larva which may be be Epiblema strenuana, one of three species of adult moths to emerge.
The other two are
Looking at this series of stem herbivory and larva, might it be reasonable to think this is the larva of Epiblema strenuana? Of course there is always the possibility that I actually collected 4 species and this larva belongs to the species whose adult never emerged.
