Beetle needs ID'd - Scaphinotus

Size: 2cm
In old growth forest location, found deep within rotted interior of downed tree. The mandibles are sickle-like, overlapping each side to look like their connected. It would open them up upon being aggressively disturbed, and it crawls around pretty fast.

Cychrini larva
It's a larva of the Carabidae family, in the tribe Cychrini.
Might not be possible to get down to species from the photo..
