Isodontia? - Isodontia mexicana - female

Isodontia? - Isodontia mexicana - Female
North Bethesda, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
August 15, 2014
I think this wasp is a member of the genus Isodontia, possibly Isodontia apicalis. It doesn’t have the “very large, blocky head, dark body hair” Eric Eaton has said characterizes I. philadelphica, nor does it have any reddish areas like I. elegans (beyond a small spot on the base of abdominal segment 1). However, I don’t know that I. mexicana can be ruled out especially since the Guide has a lot of images labeled “apicalis or mexicana”.

Is it possible to assign this individual to a single species? If so, which one? Thanks in advance for the help
