Duck phthiraptera

Duck phthiraptera
Arcata, Humboldt County, California, USA
October 12, 2014
Size: ~4mm
A louse that I received from a duck hunter in the entomology lab at Humboldt State University. I think It might be laemobothriidae..? I remember the key saying the family consisted of "large lice that infest waterfowl" which this most certainly is. It's definitely an amblyceran though.

any chance you can post a higher-res image?
