I think I've misidentified this series.
Not only do the protibial teeth resemble those of V. seticollis, the elytral maculae are very similar. I was mislead I think by the pronotal channel but I see that my other shots of seticollis show a slight channel as well. I'm therefore reassigning this to V. seticollis.
