? Moth caterpillar ?

? Moth caterpillar ?
Hoosier National Forest, Monroe County, Indiana, USA
June 5, 2014
We found this little guy walking along the ground in the forest. I thought it might be an owlet moth caterpillar, but I can't find anything in my books that looks close. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Moved from ID Request. We'll move them to Erebinae. Someone with knowledge of that group may come along someday and tell us what it is.

Built something like a Catocala
Did you get a face or lateral shot?

Where should I move him?
I've been looking for days, and realize that there's no way to id him from these photos. What category would be the most appropriate place to move the images to?

I only got 2 shots of this guy. Thanks for suggesting Catocala. I'll look at that genus more closely. I appreciate your help :)
