Stinging Rose Caterpillar Moth caterpillar - Parasa indetermina
Gunner Pool Campground, Ozark National Forest, Stone County, Arkansas, USA
September 16, 2014
I presume this is a Stinging Rose Caterpillar Moth. Normally I don't submit insects I can ID on my own, but the extraordinary colors and form of this one deserves to be seen. Found in the mixed woodlands of the Ozarks of northern Arkansas.
