Spider - Philodromus

Spider - Philodromus
Deep Fork Wildlife Refuge, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, USA
April 15, 2007

Moved
Moved from Running Crab Spiders.

From Rod Crawford: likely a Philodromus.

Moved
Moved from Tmarus.

ID?
This looks more like a philodromid to me, based on relative leg lengths (second leg longest, third and fourth legs similar to first rather than significantly shorter)...

We like your ID
Go for it!

Thanks -
moving to family page for now...

What do you think of Tmarus
images in the guide here. But we always imagined them as small. How big is this? That's not a house brick, is it? Jeff will probably be able to confirm. Nice find!

Sorry, I was lax about the size, I would say maybe about an inch.
It is on a rusty iron support on a small bridge over a creek.
Tmarus looks good.
