Small adult cricket, Chantry Flat - Hoplosphyrum boreale - Male
Chantry Flat, Big Santa Anita Canyon, Angeles National Forest, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, USA
October 9, 2014
Size: approx. 2.cm
These crickets were all over the yard at my cabin in Big Santa Anita Canyon. I could hardly walk without stepping on one. It was a warm night, late fall. This one was singing, so I assume it to be an adult male cricket of some type. It is smaller than any cricket I'm familiar with.

looks like a male Hoplosphyrum boreale, nice!
