Cuterebra puparia
Would need to rear this one to know what species it is. But does look like the puparia of Cuterebra, one of the mouse bots. If you still have it, I can talk you through rearing it. Mainly keep it in a sand/soil 50/50 mix or with some peat moss. Keep it on the dry side and mist or moisten it maybe once or twice a month, but let it dry out between mistings. Depends on the species as to which month it will emerge. Can take up to 9 months to pop out.

Rearing
Thank you. I put in a Tupperware container & now I see there is a bit of mold on it. I hope it will survive, but maybe it's to late now. I'll add some potting soil & see what happens. I was hoping to get a photo of the fly.
Regards:
Victor
