I looked too and came up with the same Genus. I went through all of the spread species for this genus and came up with nothing. There surely haven't been many recorded in California. I suspicion this one could possibly fall into the realm of 0275 – Nemapogon variatella. I will leave it here for the experts to see.

Maybe...
Kind of looks like some of the Nemapogon sp.?
