Trash latridiid - Melanophthalma

Trash latridiid - Melanophthalma
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
March 27, 2007
Size: about 2.2 mm
This beetle was clinging to the bottom of a piece of roadside trash where I found a variety of beetles and other arthropods. It has that Melanophthalma look to it. I notice its lateral pronotal margins have an uneven, somewhat crenulate effect.

Rule marks are in half millimeters.
