Ice spider? please help id!? -
Dolomedes triton
Valemount, Rocky mountains, British Columbia, Canada

Size: 15mm
we found this spider in the middle of a frozen march on the ice. At least 100m of ice in all directions. had a rainbow sheen to it. any ideas?

Dolomedes triton (Six Spotted Fishing Spider)
The angle of the image is a bit odd and the legs cover the white banding so I can't really see the prominence. At first glance I thought it was
D. striatus
. However, I do seem to see the rows of spots on the dorsal of the abdomen, thus suggesting
D. triton
. Also, there doesn't appear to be darkened borders on the white bands on the carapace. I'm not sure whether it may be due to lighting.
