Harvester Report for Baltimore City - Feniseca tarquinius

Harvester Report for Baltimore City - Feniseca tarquinius
Herring Run Watershed, Baltimore City County, Maryland, USA
July 8, 2011
I apologize for the lousy image quality but it's the best I have at this time. Submitting as a data-point for Maryland.

Observed in the remnant oak-hickory woodlot of the local cemetery. When I emailed Dick Smith of BAMONA about it, he replied,

"Yes, nice record! Several years can go by before anyone reports another sighting of this species in MD. They are rare, anywhere in MD let alone Baltimore City. I think the original Baltimore City record was by Dr. William Andersen, obtained near the Johns Hopkins Univ. campus in the early 1960's."
