Serica?
Reminds me more of a species of Serica, but Phil Harpootlian can tell you for certain.

Hard to tell
Hard to tell (for me at least). Serica is definitely possible, or a small Phyllophaga. Are you sure of the size?

I didn't measure it but yes,
I didn't measure it but yes, about 3/8". It definitely was not the usual June Beetle size.
