Probably 3701 -- Sparganothis pulcherrimana
Richard Brown has straightened out my SNAFU at MPG. This photo should join Mike Boone's in the Guide at S. pulcherrimana. Richard tells me there is a MONA Fascicle in preparation by John Brown and Jerry Powell (USNM) that will cover this group, publication date presently unknown.

Probably 3701 -- Sparganothis pulcherrimana
I think I have had some live moth photos mislabeled at MPG and have written to Richard L. Brown regarding them, and other photos. I'll get back here as soon as I hear something. Sorry for the confusion.

Indeed
Yes, this one's a tough call. I toggled between the two while trying to ID this and settled on
niveana
based on the live images at MPG and on several convincing images at
All-Leps
. Although as you can see from my earlier comment, I still had trouble putting
pulcherrimana
aside. Although I'm not entirely convinced that
niveana
is ruled out, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

I will move it to the genus page until we hammer this out.

Sparganothis sp.
This is a
Sparganothis
species, most likely
Sparganothis niveana
, # 3727. Here is another photo for comparison
on MPG
.

Thanks! Should I place it on this species page?

Yes
I believe it's safe to move this to species page. There is another similar species,
Sparganothis pulcherrimana
, but
S. niveana
seems a better match. Although a second opinion never hurts.
