Parasitic egg on Boisea rubrolineata? - Boisea rubrolineata

Parasitic egg on Boisea rubrolineata? - Boisea rubrolineata
1/4 mile from Cleveland Rapids County Park, Douglas County, Oregon, USA
February 7, 2015
Size: egg = 1/16 inch?
I think I've identified the insect correctly but would appreciate verification as to whether I'm seeing an egg laid by a parasitic insect on its back. Several of the box elder bugs had these white eggs(?). The bugs had come out of the crevices of an insence cedar on a warm winter day -- 60 degrees.

Right ID…
Yes, it does appear to be a tachinid fly egg on the pronotum.

See reference here.

tachinid egg
Thank you Ross! You made my day. I searched the internet long and hard and suspected it was a tachinid egg, but I wasn't sure.
