Falcate Orangetip - Anthocharis midea - female

Falcate Orangetip - Anthocharis midea - Female
Norris City, White County, Illinois, USA
April 18, 2007
Size: Approx. 1 in. wingspan
This butterfly was much smaller than a Cabbage White and didn't behave like one, either. I'm not certain of the species, otherwise, so if anyone can clue me in, I would be appreciative.

This is a female Falcate Oran
This is a female Falcate Orange tip. Antocharis midea, the male has a orange patch at the tip of each forewing. Nice find!
