Uloma imberbis

Uloma imberbis
Parkwood, Durham County, North Carolina, USA
April 16, 2007
Size: 9 mm
There were dozens of these inside a decaying fallen limb (pine, I believe) on the edge of a woodland. I captured one and posed it for detail shots, measurements and keying, which I believe I've done correctly--see captions to each image and the new guide page. On a flat surface, it walked in a rather drunken fashion and kept flipping over--perhaps playing dead.

Dorsal view, showing overall elongated form, sides mostly parallel, strong punctures in elytral striations--the intervals between have no punctures.
