Perigea xanthioides - Red Groundling Moth - Perigea xanthioides

Perigea xanthioides - Red Groundling Moth - Perigea xanthioides
Lenexa, Johnson County, Kansas, USA
July 20, 2014
Size: ~14 mm to wing tips
Came to a blacklight/MVL setup in a woodland/remnant tallgrass prairie area. I think this is a worn Red Groundling Moth. Not a good specimen, but if this is the species, it would give Kansas a data point for it. ID confirmed by James Adams.
