Cyphomyrmex
I'm pretty sure this is rimosus, but with a good dorsal view of the gaster (ant version of abdomen) I'd know for sure.

There is a dorsal view
of the gaster in the 5th photograph I linked. Do you need more details? If so, what specifically should I concentrate on when taking another photo of the gaster? Also, is C. rimosus a synonym for C. minutus?
I am a novice in trying to ID ants, but the "head" photographs I've found online of C rimosus and C minutus do not look like the photos I linked for this ant.
Thanks for all of your help.

gaster
minutus used to be considered a subspecies of rimosus, but was raised to species in 1992 by Snelling & Longino. The feature of the gaster that I'm looking for is an indented area that extends posteriorly from the postpetiole. It's hard to see in the dorsal shot because the gaster is out of focus. The head does indeed look different from many of the images online, but I'm pretty sure that it's just a matter of the angle.

I took another gaster
photograph, as well as another of the head. There seems to be a very slight indented area where you said there would be to confirm the species, but it is very slight. Also, I can not seem to duplicate the head angle of the other photographs online.
