Clouded or Orange Sulphur? -
Colias philodice
-
Avonlea, 3 km E of 1 km N of, Saskatchewan, Canada
October 19, 2014
This is the only other photo of it, I tried in the sunlight as opposed to the originally posted photo which was in shade. This is over exposed but may be helpful?

This one is a different individual
This looks like a female Clouded Sulphur -
Colias philodice
. If the two were together, then odds are good that they are the same species.
It's hard to be absolutely certain that this one isn't an Orange Sulphur, but the dark band showing through from above is quite narrow, and the lower side has a distinct dusting of dark scales, which favor it being a Clouded Sulphur. The angle of the wings scews their shape a bit, but that looks to me more like a Clouded Sulphur as well. It's hard to tell (I can only see the edge of one upper front wing), but I'd wager that the upper side is a nice clear lemon yellow too - not suffused with orange. The other one, a male, is clearly not an Orange Sulphur.
I went ahead and unlinked the two, but this will keep them associated:
