Size: ~ 2.5 mm
Found on cattail in a lovely ditch by I35. Mockford confirms that this is V. manteri. This species was described by Kathryn Sommerman in a beautifully illustrated paper (Sommerman, K. M. 1943. Description and bionomics of Caecilius manteri N. Sp.. Proc. Ent. Soc. Washington 45(2):29-39
